Community Engagement

Municipal representatives and emergency response agencies from across Oklahoma came together to collaborate on disaster preparedness, emergency response strategies, and community safety.  TDR Disaster Recovery participated in several workshops alongside professionals from 911 Dispatch, City Planning, Public Works, City Engineering, Municipal Utilities, Emergency Management, Fire and Rescue, and other essential agencies.

These workshops provided valuable insight into the coordination, planning, and multi-agency operations required before, during, and after a natural disaster. Through collaboration and shared expertise, we continue strengthening our understanding of disaster response and our commitment to helping communities prepare, respond, and recover.

Topics included disaster response protocols, emergency resource deployment, establishing operational priorities, coordinating equipment and personnel, maintaining critical infrastructure, and navigating the challenges agencies face during recovery operations.

Gaining insight into municipal decision-making helps TDR better anticipate operational needs, identify potential challenges, and provide effective support to agencies responsible for restoring essential services and rebuilding affected communities.
